The joy of the season and the day after when I still feel overwhelmed by the ham dinner and the bounties of what came with it! The joy of my family that gathered at my table with warm smiles and as we said Grace then not realizing how much we ate, and laughing and thinking about their dad in heaven! The cake we baked for Christ birthday and to full to eat.
I still feel full for the picking I did, and it did not help as I cooked and baked cookies and pies too! I laid around today unable to do anything for the day was quiet and the joy of being relaxed and the phone not ringing off the hook. I did finally get the phone as it rang, I was on my way to the washing machine, and instead of the answering machine picking up, I decided to get it and I know things happen for a reason My three Angels called today and wanted to stay at my home tonight. Little Sabrina 4, Sarah 9 and Ashley 10! There parents brought them to me and they will have time to be alone to.
We played outside for a while and caught up on things,and sat around and watched Dennis the Menace Christmas! Then it got realy late and they were sleepy, so I made them comfy and prayed with them and it was Thank you Auntie from all three, for being you, we love you! It was kinda like the Walton's tonight for about ten minutes. I am blessed in many ways and I am not a blood relative, but in their little minds and big hearts I have three wonderful nieces in my life!
Why they love me so much; God its wonderful, they are the granddaughters of a real good friend of mine Bev she lives in Mass. There mom moved here a while ago, way before I did and by surprise I did not get to see them until I was here almost six months and 8 months ago we met up with each other through their grandmother! Then I would go to their home and I got to know them, the girls!
It was great to see Dawn the girls mom all grown up and married to a wonderful man and a home with so much love, I visited every time the girls wanted to get together or we had an outing at each others home.
It's been wonderful to have them in my life. The funny thing is Dawn their mom I use to take her places as a child and now I have her "Beautiful Angels" with me tonight as the joy of the season continued "The Day after Christmas". The Gifts keep coming for each day we never know what is in "His" plan.
