Earthbound and Dieing

Would I ever forget Before I perished The vision of being on the cliff In a storm In the white gown My hair whipping about my face My mind locked in a trance That I could not snap out of Because I was Earthbound and Dieing
With arms outstretched I was ready to allow myself to fall, Just let go. I felt if anyone could hear me, It would be you, But when I looked at you, You turned your head away. I screamed out to you, But no sound left my throat. You knew not that I was here It was at that exact moment I knew I was Earthbound and Dieing
Through time I traveled In an attempt to save lives And now I could not even save mine I knew I was back on that cliff, Transparent was now my gown My tears mixed with the rain They fell into the ocean below As I looked down into the blue calling waters I became aware that My tears had doubled the depth of the ocean The wind blowing my tears Was the cause for the rain. I was cold Wet Hurt Earthbound and Dieing But it did not matter, I wanted to fall from that cliff And I could not fall fast enough.
But I was powerless All I could do was stand there And watch the pieces of my body floating by. I stood there helpless Nearly naked, But not afraid. I kept thinking, “ What could save me?” “ What could stop the isolation? “ If only someone would notice me Perched so precariously upon that jagged cliff That ragged cliff But that did not happen My world got darker Ice grew upon my wings It was then I realized the depth of it all Now my spirit was Earthbound and Dieing too
Far off I heard the whistle of a ship Black was the night And yet vision was possible I could not recall just What had brought me to this point Ah but I knew very well It was taking on the pain of the world For the coldness of man Was the coldness of night But the fog in my head Was now the fog on the sea The tears of my eyes Were the tears of the million Who had been wronged Heavy was my frock As heavy was the heart of man The ice upon my wings Was but that of masses Who could not find love I was a lost angel I had fallen I was now of flesh I was now Earthbound and Dieing.

I feel you in every part of nature. The wind brings thoughts Of your breath upon me. The sun brings thoughts Of the warmth of your love. At night the stars forever bring The light of your love to mind. The green of the grass makes me think Of how deep my love for you is. The mountains remind me How high I soar with your love. The valleys is how far down Your love reaches within my soul. I love you.
