According to the VOA ( Voice Of America) television news broadcast channel on Thursday the 10th 2008 , the pictures taken from the alleged Iranian long range missiles Shahab 3 which is said to be approachable to Europe and certainly Israel ,,, with a range of almost 2000 kilometers, were being computer manipulated by the Iranian regime to demonstrate its strength and the number of these missiles more than they really are and therefore achieve a propaganda point in front of the increasing American presence in the Persian Gulf.       

I saw the reports myself  but on the other hand ,,,  I think Americans do the same  by showing  their airplane carriers naval systems in the Persian gulf or threatening  tone of the U.S secretary of State Ms Rice. However if you ask me there are still a long way to the even doorsteps of the actual status war because the actual response to the missile show was delivered by Ms Rice the U.S foreign minister instead , the defense minister Mr Gate was trying to cool down the situation , I think I can only accept the Defense version when it comes to a preparation to war. We should not forget that Mr Medvetev the young President of Russia's statements  against the Western missile stationing treaties with the eastern European countries has been far beyond its country's actual military strength that he was suggesting when it came to the reprisal measures that the Russians can actually carry out , in this momentum of the International relations. Everybody is well aware that  the American might have  national economic  and  political  problems but when it comes to the first military strike with whatever consequences that it might have , they are still No one in the world with enormous difference with the other Western and Eastern countries all together. Any doubting about this strength might have consequences that specially Russians with their great and large economic and financial expectations from the West will be considering that when it comes to the actual military actions against any Western country specially the U.S.    

FRA  

The Swedish Daily Svenska Dagbladet had enlightening lines about the Swedish newly ratified FRA law that permits the Swedish military agents to have surveillances over the citizens normal emails and internet communications. The daily suggests that the majority of the data control will be conducted over the Russian transmission of data with Sweden ,, which I believe is quite corrects ,but it will not in noway excuse a declared legal surveillance system's justification  in a democratic country such as Sweden. The concern is not over this surveillance , because everybody knows that these  kind of  control have ever been  included  in the  defense system  of the countries that are surrounding  Russia , either  during the  cold war or the current time that  Russia  is increasingly showing tendencies  to  get back  to the  position of a  threatening power again, despite the fact that, that kind of era for the Russians is obviously belonging to the  history and over.

About the FRA law ofcourse it is used aganist Russians , who else ,,, Sweden is one of the most or the last strategical point in the West that can play the Western outpost against the Russians subversive attempts , specially now that the Nato treaty of stablishing the Missiles onto further Eastern European countries is signed and sealed with the U.S ,,,, if you like you can refer to the statements of the Swedish defense minister that had not rejected the possibility of officially joining the country to the military organization NATO  ,,

Conclusion:

In fact the two stories in this article are quite related to each other in a delicate way,,,  Iranian Missile firework and fixing the number of the missiles is not totally irrelevant to the play between the U.S as the current super power and the Russia that tries to show muscles as if it still has the teeth to maneuver militarily in front of the Western Allies in General and the U.S in particular!!! Iranians gave both sides enough excuse to play their cards,,,, U.S to show Russians the direct threat by Iranians and convince them that the treaties about missiles in the Eastern Europe is not directed against them and Russians to squeeze the West by the probability of assisting Iranians more with their Missile systems , in order to at least get more economic  bonuses and pressurize the closest "office boy" of the U.S in the Middle east , Israel to get the feeling of threatening by the Mullahs.
This is,, while everybodt knows that the  Iranian's  military system  is  long  long away from the  strategical threatening point  for  giant atomic and military  power  such as Israel.  But the  short term  unease in the middle east is perfectly in the interests of either Russia, U.S and Iran. This is what we are viewing these days.
