Blah, no flute yet. BUT...
I got a free trumpet! That's right folks, I have a trumpet that I got for free, from an old high school friend. It was all yucky when I got it - the valves would go down but not come up, and the slides were all stuck. But I used my handy-dandy repair knowledge from that winter class that I took at Crane, and my trumpet started to work. I did cheat - windex and paper towels instead of a pipe snake and dish soap, but it worked! Now to get out the rawhide mallet and un-stick the slides...
I was hoping that would occupy me until my flute gets here, but... it's not. I want my flute. I still don't have any names picked out, but that's because I need to meet it first. sigh... this is a long week.
