i'm annoyed

i'm annoyed with my job at the moment i'm a cleaner at an abbatoirs and we get graded on our cleaning. They grade us out of 100 points and we lose 2 points for every bit of meat found and 4 points for any plastic found. Since i started there i have never gotten anything under 95 until friday morning when the people came to check out the area this time i got a 88. To fail i would have to get 75 but to me anything under 95 is a failure. I'm now gonna try to get 100% (heres hoping).

its a meat factory where they take pigs, cattle, sheep kill them and cut them up to export

no quitting is not an option its a great job, good pay. It's a full time job i make almost $800 a week doing a 8 hour night 5 days a week. Whereas with the 3 jobs i had before i was only making $500 a week doing a 14 hour night 7 days a week

why would u fail its all straight forward cleaning although my section is the hardest area to clean. I have to clean a dicer/chopper, bandsaw, kj wrapper, shrink tunnel, chill tunnel, 8 conveyor belts, 4 shelves, trolleys, benches, and meat bins.

i dont touch anything with bare hands i have to wear latex gloves and when i scrub i also have to wear a pair of chemical gloves over top of the latex gloves.

lol i always try but because ive only been doing this job for 2 weeks im still learning where bits of crap hide. By then end of the month i should have a perfect score. But on the plus side ive been getting pretty much nothing under 95 considering the amount of time i been there and i will admit its my fault that i got my 1st low score but at least i can see where i need to improve.

well...if below 95 is a failure to you, then you failed. On the flip side, kudos on having such a high personal standard...I personally would feel much more at ease knowing that the meat I was buying came from the lines you were cleaning =)

nothing gets wasted anymore the blood and bone get shipped off to become fertiliser and the meat that falls on the floor gets boiled down and used for something else i cant remember what now
