Ok so we've been in America for approx 1 month! (Anyone from Mexico or further South America kicks up a fuss if you say America! apparently its the USA!). Hence the title of this piece USA! We've both got the feeling we're sorta on the home straight now with less than 6 weeks to go! Mart says he'll soon be feeling Clinically Depressed! Im sorta looking forward to getting back and seeing peopel again :)
Ok that out the way. We started in LA which is a weird sorta place on one side you have the rich and famous in the hills around Hollywood and on the other there are the gangsters pimps and hookers in areas like Compton and Inglewood. So its a cool place with alot of stark contrasts (my favourite being the big slurry of dog shit smack bangin the middle of the path on Hollywood Boulevard (HOME OF THE STARS HEHE)).
We left LA after a week and met our good mate Sabrina, who we 1st met in Berlin, in Las Vegas where i was positive id not only make my millions among the famous poker players such as Phil Ivey and Mike 'the Mouth' Matusow! but also become super famous and live the rest of my days out in Vegas! Sadly i didnt make any money but managed to lose both times a gambled! once in a tourney where i came 8th out of 40 (which werent bad but i neva had a chance of coming 6th or better where u got a pay out) and once at Blackjack where i managed to lose the equivalent of 40quid in 7 1/2mins!!!! As for the 2nd part no 1 could live in Vegas full time as the moral degradation would pull ur soul from ur body after 2weeks and ud become a shell of a human being! All that aside tho i blooming LOVED THE PLACE :)
We then headed back to LA where a looney guy told us that Global Warming was a political instrument used by the Green Party to destroy the 2 party system which would in turn allow a new world order to take over from the far east and destroy AMerica (ooohh sorry the USA) Needless to saythis guy was a religious + racist nut job who couldnt help preach while we ate our giant cheese pizzas :)
ANother bloke in the subway said or rather SHOUTED out that he was gonna get an AK47 and kill 'all u white MOFOs' apparently he'd lost his job to aMexican fella and a white boss had sacked him! I kinda felt sorry for the guy!
Then via Greyhound we headed to SanFrancisco! We're using greyhound buses to get all round the US just cos its cheaper than hiring/buying a car but the problem is that u do get quite a few of said weirdos joining u on the bus! The terminals are brilliant for seeing such people and ive overheard dudes going on about just gettin out of jail and going home! thats another thing Americans arent afraid to say what they are thinking really loudly so every1 can hear alla AK47 guy or thisdude telling hiswife in BurgerKing that 'it aint natural for a man to only hav 1 women' thus he felt he shud be allowed to spread his seed far and wide! I felt for the guy! His Wife did not see quite eye to eye stating that she would 'remove his genitals and feed them too him' (NB my mum reads this so some quotes my be dumbed down to a pg rating).ANyhow it was a good show to watch/listen too while consuming my burger :)
SanFran was cool! Berkeley was even better aswe met Sab again and her mates and celebrated St Patricks day with lots of booze! Portland was also cool esp the MASSIVE 2nd hand bookstore called Powells! And now we are her in Seattle Oregon! Exciting stuff! The USA is cool tho and im having a good time out here just need the money to last and im home free :)

From Dunedin Me and Mart realised there was little time left to spare so we took every bus we could geton upto the North Island over 4 days which was knackering and sad as we no longer knew the strangers on our bus. Pining for our lost companions we made it to Taupo and with them still in our hearts we said goodbye to the Stray bus and went commando off the beaten track to alittle place called Rotorua (2nd lake). Melbourne was cool for the Neighbours tour and the free football and poker tournaments me and mart got to play in!!! Fifa 07 on the xbox was the game and Mart managed to get 3rd place and secure 2 jugs of beer :) The poker tournament was also a really good laugh although i was bricking it incase i did something wrong! I surprised myself however after winning my table and being part of the final 10 man table! Sadly i didnt get far enough but came 6/60 people which was pretty good for my 1st live poker tourney!!! Vegas here i come :)
