I don't know that I've EVER been sooo ready for a Friday.
 
I'm sorry I haven't made it in before now, but oooooh, what a week...what a last 3 weeks!    Actually, I think it's been going on longer than that.  Our car situation is still the same...the caddy, barely running with that tranny problem still, but we're limping it along.  The dodge needs some kind of plug replaced, where the anti freeze is leaking...freeze plug????.... Which Lee has replaced before on other cars, but this one seems impossible to get to, so it is still sitting on jacks in the drive way.  I guess in order for us to use it, we're going to have to take it in.  The van is still running good, by the grace of God...I don't know what we'd do.  Landon is still afoot with the engine out on his van, so you can probably see where that leaves me.  My average day for the past 2-3 weeks or more, has been getting up and driving the 16 miles to Ashland to pick up Landon, and have him at work by 8 am.  Then I come home and get ready for work myself.  Some morings, I also have to have to take Kirk to work around 10 or so, then I've had to be at work by 10:30...a couple of mornings it was 9 am, which left me less time.  After getting off at 4 or so, then I head back out to Landon's work to pick him up, then it's back to Ashland to get the grandkids.  Landon and his wife on are the outs,  I'm not sure if I told you, but she walked out on him and the kids just a little over 2 weeks ago,
so he has been spending a lot of time here, so quite often we go pick up the kids, then come back to Columbia, and then I have to take them back to Ashland later on in the evening.  The past two weekends, since the kids don't have school, they have been spening the weekend here with us, which saves on time and a lot of gas!   On top of that, we've been having to try and arrange babysitting for Mary, while Landon is at work through the day.   I'm not sure what we're going to do when the boys get out of school.  Everyone is working!  On top of all this...Lee has to get to work too.  Since the caddy doesn't do well on the highway, Lee's been limping it to work, so I can have the van to run Kirk and Landon back and forth.  So...you can see why I'm ready for Saturday to get here.  This is the first day in 2 weeks, that I'm not going to have to get up early and try to get someone somewhere!!!!  Landon does have to work tomorrow, but they're staying the night here, and he doesn't have to be in till 11 am, so it won't be early.
Weekends as I know them are about to change.  I have my supervisors schedule, and there are a couple of days I'm not real happy about.... but don't think there's going to be much I can do about it.  I will have to work every Saturday and Sunday...which I don't think is too fair...so I will now be looking forward to Monday and Tuesday.  Those will be my days off.  Monday is good...Lee has Monday off also, but it makes it virtually IMPOSSIBLE for us to EVER go anywhere on the weekend!!!  I am also stuck working on Mother's Day, which I am NOT happy about at all!!!  I had full intentions on going to Lebanon to see my Mom.  This I am really ticked off about....and I can see more of this coming in the future.  This is the main reason I didn't want to take this supervisors postion, but the money situation here just made it impossible to turn down.   What we're going to do when school gets out, I don't know.  When it comes to 3 children, there is NO WAY, landon can afford daycare...about $150. a week, PER KID....How do they expect someone working at Burger King to afford $450. a week for daycare!!!  Lee has mentioned that I may have to quite my work so I can babysit the kids, which I would LOVE to do....but then, how to we survive.  We're barely making it on what Lee and I both make now.  Oh Lord....do we need some prayer!!!
So, I guess you can see why I haven't been around.  Well...I've been here, just popping in and checking in, but not much time to do anything else.  Today, I just decided it was time to say "HI"! 
I sure hope your past few days haven't been quite as hectic as mine.  lol  Surely, sooner or later, it will slow down...just a bit!

I love all kinds of movies, and music...well almost. I dont' do rap, and I'm not into hip-hop...but give me classic rock, country, classical, opera, easy listening, pop, and some contemporary Christian, gospel and I'll definately enjoy them all.

Some of other favorites include, Richard Burton, Mel Gibson, Densel Washington, Charlton Heston, Omar Sherif, Peter O'Toole, Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Kevin Costner, Yul Brynner, Pierce Brosnan, John Wayne, Whoopie Goldberg, Tom Hanks, Kathern Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Robin Williams, Richard Harris. We're big TV watchers in this house. I enjoy Walker Texas Ranger, Stargate, X-Files, Crossing Jordan, ER, Law & Order SVU, Star Trek(all) The Nanny, Today Show, Nash Bridges, & Mash.

My Dreams .... Sweden, Africa, Israel, Egypt, Scotland, Ireland, Austria, Hawaii, Australia, and Fiji, have always been in my traveling fantacies. Here at home, I'd love to spend more time in the Eastern, and N. Eastern states. I've never been that far. I love to visit Washington DC, visit the Memorials..Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson, The Wall and also the Holocost Museum, are somethings I'd really like to see. Closer to home, my dreams include several acres of land, with 2 additional houses, for both of our boys, and their families. A place they can always call home, long after I'm gone. Our own jewelry store.
