Saturday,Sep 13 2008, 12:58:56 PMMy Adventure in Morocco
In the end of September I went to Morocco. I was a little scared, but mostly excited. You see I went to meet a amazing man. I was not keen on internet dating but the man stole my heart slowly. I was more into scam baiting.
I had to go to Morocco just to see if he was for real. Lets be honest on the internet you can be anyone, scammers do it all the time. But i was amazed to learn how honest this man was and he was much, much more then I could excepted.
When I landed in Casablanca I think that was the most overwhelming part of my trip. Going through Customs was a breeze but filing out there form was not, sense it was in arabic and french. And by the way i speak, read, or write none of them. After getting my bag, i walk into a big room with lots of people there. I did not see my guy. So i just stopped. I waited there for a moment and i looked to my left and seen my angel. Well at that point he was my angel. Because the realization hits you. I am in a different country, i do not speak the launage, and i only know this man. So I was very happy to see him. That was just he first 30 minutes. Next we are off to find a calling card for the phone. I think American phones should be set up this way too.
Next we took the train from the airport. I am american, people. We just do not have a lot of passenger trains there. And where I live the only trains I see are frieght trains. So that was a amazing experience. I guess I seemed like a little girl to him. But he uses trains all the time. Really he did not care, he was just happy I was there. He watched me the whole time on the train.
We got to Rabat and then I had my first experience trying to get a taxi to stop for you. I mean there was people lined up waiting for the taxi's and taxi's drivers were empty and just going through not picking anyone up. I guess it took us about 20 minutes to get a taxi. Then we was off to his brothers house and meet people that could not speak english at all.
For the most part I was ok with everything. Till it was time to eat. I had read how they eat, but to experience it was so different. I am not one to eat in front of my boyfriend the first couple of times I am with them, I am just shy that way. And now I have to eat with my bf, his brother, and his best friend, and his brothes 2 room mates. Needless to say I drank more then I ate. And eating with my hands is very different. I did have forks though. It amazed me how everyone shares, and as i staied in morocco i seen more and more of it.
Ok I guess american woman by them selfs and with moroccan men is justt entertaining. Because every where we went people starred at me. It did not bother me at all. but sometimes the woman gave dirty looks. And when Ramadan started we was at the Train station on our way back to the airport. This man gave me the i am watching you sign as he walked by. I know he only did that because my bf was on the payphone and was busy. This man kept looking over his shoulder at me. But when my bf got off the phone the man did not dare look over his shoulder again. Amazing americans do that too, but not to that extent. Or I have not seen it to that extent.
I even smelled Kif while i was there. Many thing's was the same as america and many things was different. The bathrooms for example. I am use to a toilet. And many places had them in Morocco like in the big city's and resturants. But most places i was they did not have them. I am not above squating over a hole, but i am just not use to it. Plus I am a little shy to new things. But I conquered what I have nicked named the squaters. While in Oujda at the train station I did get stuck in the bathroom. Only because I was greedy and really wanted to use a regular toilet and was so excited and did not realize the door handle was broke on the inside. Karma funny how that works. But my bf saved me, because the door was a solid door and only had a window to look out. I guess he seen my reflection in the mirror.
That is a few experinces for now. I will write more in a couple of days.

Here i am sitting at my window, just looking out at the stars. Dreaming and thinking, nothing in particular. And from nowhere I see a image coming from the stars. Like a shooting star, it comes closer and closer, finaly I see what it is. It is my soul mate, crossing the heavens on his flying horse. My heart ache's for him, his voice ease's my saddness, his touch lifts my spirts. His presence makes me want to kiss him. Together we will fly the skies, and visit places only imaginable. Because together all things are possible. To look in each other eyes ...

Looking back in time, I can see things so differently. This year has been a long road for us. I have made changes to my life, as you have supported me through them all. Just waiting to the day you can have me. For you I wished i could of seen things sooner, learned faster. Because right now I just want to be in your arms, as you whisper I love you in my ear. To look into your eyes and see me the way you see me. To feel your sweet embrace and the rush that comes with it. Even though we are miles apart from each other, I feel close enough to touch you. ...

I love this approach: When you can't make a tough decision, let someone else do the deciding for ya. Notice that the kitty isn't giving an ultimatum — the hubby is. So who do you think is easier to live with? . . . Decisio...
