RE: IMPORTANCE OF NUMBERS 14:28

Some friends have asked me why I quote this verse of the bible always and I want to address the importance of this single verse of the bible. I will first put down two versions of the Amplified and King James bibles. I will try to make this write up short.

“Tell them, As I live, says the Lord, what you have said in My hearing I will do to you (Numbers 14:28 Amplified). “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you (King James).”

What we speak or say matters to God because only we and God have the power to remove the impenetrable dressing that God has put on us. See Matthew 12:36. Check how He made you in Psalm 139:14.

Let us examine who we are as the children of God and what it means for God to be in our lives. GOD as our Shield; The bible tells us that we can be in Christ by accepting Him as our Lord and personal Saviour (2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Let us see some verses of the bible that talk of God as our Shield; Psalm 28:7; Psalm 33:20; Psalm 84:11; Psalm 115:9; Psalm 115:11. Let it be known to us that we are at war with Satan as long as we remain the children of God. Because we lost our authority here in the world to Satan through Adam God needs our invitation to act on our behalf hence He wants us to have a confession that will invite Him to act on our behalf.

In Joel 3:10, God wants those that are weak to say that they are strong. This will not mean that you are telling lies but telling God how you want to feel despite your weak nature. He also asks us to decree a thing and that He will establish it in Job 22:28. Read Matthew 7:7.

HOW DOES GOD PROTECT US?

In Exodus 13:21 we read that God does set pillar of cloud around His own in the day while He sets a pillar of fire for them at night. In Job 1:10 and 2:4 and 5; we read about God using an hedge about us, and that it took God’s permission for Satan to afflict Job with any sickness.

WE ARE AT WAR;

In 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Apostle Paul tells us the type of battle that we are fighting. He also tells us the kind of armour that we need for this battle (Ephesians 6:13-18).If we must win this war, let us not give the enemy the weapon that he can use to fight us by saying those things that work against us. Beloved, if you do not say what the enemy can use against you, neither will God allow it. “Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass (Isaiah 7:7).”

The plan(s) of the enemy we both agree and decree that they (it) will not stand. “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37).”

PRAYER POINT

Father take my mouth and let it speak life and prosperity, take my eyes and let them behold your glory, take my ears and let them hear you when you speak, take my thoughts and let them be with you, take my material things and let them be with you, and take my life and let it be in your hands. Thank you father for your love in Jesus name. Amen.
