RE: SOLUTION FOR THOSE SECRET TEARS.
I want to thank those of you who wrote me back on the topic “THOSE SECRET TEARS.” Your responses made me to look deeper into the Word of God to see what is missing and why these tears some times never go away. My finding is that most of us are confusing the use of these two words; NEED and DESIRE.
Needs for every living thing is a promise by God to meet no matter what they are. For us humans, God meets our needs irrespective of our faith that is why one can see an unbeliever being blessed. Read Matthew 6:25-33 and Philippians 4:18-19. There are other examples in the bible but I want to focus on the real thing; - Desire(s).
As for our desire(s), we must pray for it (them). No one knows the heart of God better than Jesus Christ so let us study what He has to say about our needs by examining Mark 11:22-26. Allow me to use a different approach here because as I have always written to some of my brethren concerning Matthew 7:7; no one goes on to seek or knock if he/she receives each time that a request is put forward. In my approach, I start from knocking and when the door opens, I will then seek. It is after I have sought and found what I want that I present it to my heavenly Father in the form of asking.
In this our study, I want us to start from verse 26; “But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” This is a serious issue because when we fail to forgive others, our sins remain with us. This is so serious that Jesus, does not want us to bring any gift to the altar if any of our brothers has something against us “Matthew 5:23.” Your gift is naught if you even offended someone and don’t ask for his or her forgiveness.
“25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Here, He wants us to forgive all those that wronged us so that we may be forgiven of our sins as well. If we don’t forgive, we remain sinners.
“24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Where as needs are promised by God, we have to pray for our desire(s) and believe that we receive it (them). Our trust in God counts.
“23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” If you do not doubt when you pray for your desire(s), you will receive what you pray for.
“22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” Here He (Jesus) goes on to crown what we must do so as to have our desire(s) met. The bible defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).” Our hope must stay focused and unshakable while we wait. Remember that it takes nine months for the baby in the womb to be brought forth in normal cases.
Study these other verses to enhance your understanding. 2 Corinthians 7:1; 1 John 1:9; James 3:15-18
PRAYER POINT;
Lord, give me the understanding to forgive others when they wrong me because I now know that I will not get my desire(s) met until I forgive others. As I forgive others, forgive me of my former unforgiving sins and help me to build my faith where I can see your hand at work in all that I face on a daily basis. I now believe in what you say in Jeremiah 32:26-27; Matthew 19:26; & Mark 9:23. Thank you for I pray in Jesus name. Amen
