Friday,Aug 24 2007, 07:29:25 PM My Fight with Cancer
It has been almost a year since my battle with Lyphoma Cancer began. When it started I was scared, didn't know what would happen. But now it's done and I have won again!! This is my 3rd cancer since 2001 and I have won all of them. I just went to my Oncologist on 8-23-07 and he says Im in Remission!! Hooray!!. If anyone reads this, please ask me about the feelings and the fears, as the reason for this journal is to help others, not to brag or to make people think I'm Superman, I'm not, I'm just a survivor who wants to help all of those who are facing Cancer or are winning over it, to have a new great life!!
A early October update shows that my health is getting better and better every day. My right knee is giving me fits, but fater 73 years it has done pretty well and i can still use it .

So glad you are so positive
You are a beacon to others
STAY positive/
And isn;t great how the young people here accept us as good friends
That helps us feel good too

My Mom just found out she has breast cancer about 2 months ago. She is in Class 1, stage 3 and having chemo done every 3 weeks. She is 75. I really wish she didn't have to go thru this. She is such a special person. Never smoke or drink. God is with her I know! elsathelioness

Elsa, yes God does have a special spot in the lives of a lot of Cancer patients. I found that some do not accept him, but a lot do when they hear the Doctor say you have Cancer. And some like me have had God for a pilot for most of thier lives. Just remeber to call on Him in your prayers and tell him Mom needs his special help. I quit smoking and drinking at age 28, but that was not the cause of any of my cancers, mt cancers all came from my Mom's family, who all but one died of cancers. I now live with a special blessing and looking to God to tell me what he has next for me, I'm sure He is working on it....Love....Richard
