So, yeah, this quote fits me perfectly. I'm so sick of people quibbling over how "pure" or "virtuous" I am... and how I have to give so much to parasites and let others control my life, because they say that's what it means to be a "good" son, brother, friend, citizen, whatever. Whether it's some asshole in a suit with a shit-eating grin telling me that I'm not "giving" enough to my country or the world in between his getting sucked off by some whore attracted to his power and money. And then there's the holy assholes up in places like the Vatican and the little trailer parks telling me I'm destined for hell because I don't put my ass on their pews and give the labor I earned to pay their paychecks and make assholes like that Hitler Youth in a robe just a little richer, while handing out Bibles in foreign lands instead of desperately needed food.

Then, let's take a look at those in my day-to-day life. For the most part, I have next to no friends. In many ways, I like it that way. Those I do have now, I cherish. I've had it with parasitical people that demand so much of me, and then I get nothing in return except some empty two second half-ass attempts at looking grateful. I can't say never again. But I'll sure as hell make it a lot harder. As for my family, well, my parents wanted me to get back into the mess I was in, and if they have a problem if it becomes a bigger mess, I'll tell them that it is my fault in only one way... that I listened to them.

All of you, from the bum on the street-corner trying to tug at my withered heartstrings to get your drug money, to my demanding so-called former friends and current family, to the faux, undeservedly called "elite" up in the Vatican and Washington... your glass halos will all be smashed.

You aren't creating another angel in your image. You're not going to make me just another robot to do your bidding, asking for table scraps in return. You're creating a terror. An abomination. A monster that will relentlessly and mercilessly disregard your pitiful pleas for the sake of your precious peace of mind. This is the monster I will become.
