Okay, here's the deal...what's up with the students needing a
missionary at the college to hand out bibles? I mean, seriously, that
means that we don't know what's going on. I mean, it makes no since in
the world that the missionaries need to come to schools. Isn't the
school's supposed to separate religion? It persuades the decision on
students. We come to go to school, not to be schooled on religion. Not
that I'm against religion, it's nothing like that, it's the point that
we are to learn how to further our lives. I came to school this morning
at Wichita State University only to be bombarded with three guys within
a few steps of each other wanting to talk to me about God or the Bible.
It's ridiculous.
I remember back in high school when the
abortion people would set up their van in front of our school only to
make us sick and not hungry for our lunch. What is the point of the
abortion van anyhow? It travels around to tell people of the wrongs of
people. Okay, here's a point to make, WE DON'T NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE
TWIST OUR ARM!!!! The point of these people are to make it through life
and make everyone's miserable. I mean, I'm sorry that your daughter,
niece, aunt, or mother had an abortion. Quite frankly, they should have
aborted you. If people can make this much noise about a law that has
been passed, they should make noise about how inhumane the jails are.
Or how I can't go one block without seeing some type of construction.
Make noise about something that matters. Like rebuilding neighborhoods,
or the layoffs. I mean, you bitch about Obama and quite frankly, he's
doing the best he can seeing as Bush left the economy a mess.
My
point of this post is not to be mean to anyone who is right or left on
this issue. (I'm pro-choice by the way) But the point to make is that I
come to school to learn about how to further my life, not to learn
about how to make my life 'holy'. I'm a spiritual person, but being
spiritual before class isn't in my schedule. I want to ask these
missionaries, how many bibles do you really give away when you go to
schools? And how many do you see in the trash, laying on the sidewalk,
or even in the streets when you leave? All the persuading is making
people litter the streets with your bibles. If we need a bible, I'm
pretty sure the neighborhood church or campus church can give us one
for free. That's what I'm mad about this morning...HOLLA!!!
